Fall Hangs On It's Arbor

Stephen Craig Rowe

Fall hanging on it's Arbor

Gives into frost on grasses

Snapping underfoot

Under wine

We walk without fences.

After the light of Wheel Earth Roadway

To stand above Bowling Country sounds

At green mound coast

And fire beyond the trees cutting

Clouds against

Lakes Face by

Bay blown rise.

Hand in arm

hand

Fold balnket against breakfast fields

As moon turning under my hand

Touch her morning swell

And wearing Night like a Crown

She drapes my time around her

With bent neck of tawny morning

going back into night

Waving faded colors at

Day Break Banner.

We crash our youth through night's ripe

Heart

and splash our silence in

Milk run puddles

As we roll down

Dawn

tangled in her braids

never to return.

Fall snap underfoot Arbor

elbowed on Grass wind window.

Under wine we walk

as swirling

leaves

scratch reflections,

skitch

night's streets

And

Spirits of Indians

dance

in the

wind.
