PAINTING STUDIO Rain And Roses A Welcome Wake Up Call To Fall by Stephen Craig Rowe

     Last Rose
" If not for the eye of the beholder, the Heavenly Father would have made every
thing the same."  Stephen Craig Rowe
I took in the last red rose a week or so ago and placed her on the window sill so that she could catch the light and cause my eyes a smile.  Though too late to bloom in the morning light I saw a reflection and shadows from the screen that laid a pattern on the bud and had me scrambling for the camera.  As I viewed the result my thoughts were of fine art, the essence of a moment and one's place in the grand design.  Or something like that.  At any rate am most pleased with the photo and just had to share.
Early this morning my phone rang and I was greeted and blessed to talk with a very dear friend.  We have walked in words together forever it seems and in the connection there is an understanding that transends words.  I call this the space between the lines....a place where fine art, poetry and reality cause a knowing that just is.  Julieann is a fine arts photographer, author, and so very much more.  In all of our times of trouble and strife there is ever a call to the light and positive action.   Julieann put together a very special video of humming birds and music that is a very beautiful experience that I am sure that you will all enjoy.  I found the work amazing and am ever in the light.  Thank you Julieann, Thank all of you and
    as ever be well,
    Stephen Craig Rowe

Your rose is beautiful. You were right, the last red rose did not open, and now the pink one has shed its petals. The aroma drifted through the house, lovely last perfume of summer. I like the idea of keeping hold of the last till spring, when the fresh roses bloom like old friends that haven't been seen for awhile. I'm pleased to hear you're still in touch with an old friend.
    Have a good weekend :-)

My goodness, this rose...THIS ROSE!!!! Incredible! As I looked closely at it's pattern, it stirred up a really good memory of something in my childhood. Thank you, my dear painter of words and images.

    Beautiful pic and quote dude!

Strange question: Are there times when you run into some stranger in the street and 'feel' their presence?

From your blog it sounds like you may!!!

    God Bless!

A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense. You have captured this rose wonderfully... very nice close up!
I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it.

    Stephen,
I love the rose photo. A photo of a rose is the first photo that I gave to my wife, then I gave her a few more over the years.
This is your big week isn't? I want you to know that you will be in our prayers. I will wish you much luck.
In your own words, "as ever be well"

Had a friend that painted flowers from pictures she had a booming business. Like the rose you posted, people would bring the photo in ask her to do a painting of it. Love the texture and the effect.
Yes there are somepeople that connect and not ned words to communciate. They are precious....

What a treasure to have a blessing that transends words. I call it "that knowing look" and no one can put a price on that. I have even found it time to time here on spaces.

Beautiful Stephen. My first glance I thought it to be a flannel like soft pillow and gave another look.
Very creative the light was. It's so heart warming to receive a call from a friend so dear. I shall try to
    view the video.
